WeGotchya!

(Northwest Professors Deb Toomey & Carolyn Johnson sit down with KXCV-KRNW News Director Jeremy Werner)

Maryville, MO. - Why is there still a stigma around the word "period"?  How does the group WeGotchya! work to break the taboo?  What will WeGotchya! be doing for Women's History Month?

We sit with WeGotchya! members Northwest Missouri State University Associate Professor Deb Toomey and Assistant Professor Carolyn Johnson to talk about all their efforts in reducing period poverty in Maryville and in Haiti.  They talk about the stigma of menstruation, the pink tax, and their upcoming fundraising efforts this March during Women's History Month.
